Dr. Dorfman is a doctor of health administration, an accomplished media innovation, marketing and sales executive, a published author and an industry speaker with strong connections and ties to both the healthcare and life sciences industries.


With more than 17 years of global marketing and sales experience at leading organizations, Dr. Dorfman’s expertise in innovative sales and marketing strategies, advocacy development, social media, and brand optimization have earned her a seat at numerous industry events, media interviews, client brand strategy sessions and analyst reviews. Following her dream to become a doctor, Dr. Dorfman recently completed her degree with a dissertation exploring the Physician’s view of health 2.0 and web-based self-directed health tools and their effect on consumer health behaviors, with recommendations for future optimized health outcomes.

Currently serving as the Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer at Communications Media Inc./Compas (the Nation’s largest Direct-to-Professional Media Buying and Planning Family of Companies servicing the Life Sciences Industry), Dr. Dorfman is responsible for the general management and growth of the Media Innovation, Technology and Data divisions, as well as the company's marketing, technology, customer insights and innovation strategy. She has a strong passion for understanding how physicians, patients and caregivers access health information, particularly the media channels used to obtain info versus acquire knowledge and recall. She has extensive experience working with the Pharmaceutical industry, supporting US and global sales, marketing and medical teams at BMS, Schering Plough, Novartis, Merck, Boehringer Ingelheim, Abbott, Savient and Reliant Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining CMI,  Dr. Dorfman was responsible for the global company and product strategy, alliances and marketing innovations  at Skila, brand strategy at Dendrite International (currently Cegedim Dendrite), and sales, program development and marketing at Pharmagistics - a Publicis company. She is an active member of the HBA and has been recognized by her peers and PharmaVoice as one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in pharma in both 2008 and 2009. 

She is a member of the editorial board for the prestigious Journal of Medical Marketing and the Edison Director Network, a group of 120 Senior Executives who serve on Edison portfolio company boards as Directors, Mentors, and Consultants and assist with recruitment, budget, fundraising, IPOs and company sales.
